Mingle Cities LLC collects the least it can and uses it to run events, memberships and the community.
What we collect
Your name, email address and the community you choose, when you join.
Your ZIP code, when you join (see "Your ZIP code").
What you choose to add to your profile: a photo, profession, a short bio, interests and relationship status. All of it is optional.
Your registrations, tickets and purchase history.
Your email choices, a record of when you made or changed them, and your answer if you tell us why you changed them.
Whether our emails to you are delivered, bounce or are reported as spam, so we can stop sending email that cannot be delivered. We do not track whether you open our emails.
We may collect information about which event pages you view to help us understand what kinds of Mingle experiences people are interested in. If you're not signed in, we use a random browser identifier rather than your name or email. We also use website analytics to understand general site traffic and usage.
If you visit our website from the United States, the Meta Pixel records some of what you do there for advertising measurement (see "Advertising and cookies").
A delivery address, only when you buy something that has to be posted to you, and only kept with that order.
Basic technical information needed to keep the service working and secure.
What we do not collect
We never see or store your card number. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Apart from the advertising measurement described under "Advertising and cookies", we do not share it with partners for their own marketing.
Who can see your profile
New members are discoverable in the member directory so that people can find each other. You can make your profile private at any time from your profile settings, and nothing you have marked private is shown to other members.
Your email address is never shown to other members.
Your ZIP code is never shown to other members.
A delivery address is never shown in the directory or on your profile. It stays with the order it belongs to and is visible only to you and to the people fulfilling it.
Your ZIP code
When you join Mingle Cities, we ask for your five-digit ZIP code. We use it to understand where our members live, so we can decide where to open future Mingle Clubhouse locations and where to hold events.
Your ZIP code is private. Other members never see it. It isn't on your profile, in Meet Members, or anywhere else members can look. You can view and change yours at any time in your account settings.
Who can see it. In our reporting tools, a small number of authorized Mingle Cities administrators can see ZIP code information only as totals for an area, such as the number of members in a ZIP code area. These reports don't show who lives where, and areas with fewer than three people aren't shown. Access to the underlying records is limited to the people who run and maintain our systems, and only when needed to keep the service working and secure, fix a problem, or carry out a request such as erasing your ZIP code.
We don't sell ZIP codes or share them with advertisers.
How long we keep it. We keep the ZIP code on your account while you have one.
When you change your ZIP code, we keep a dated record of your earlier one for up to five years, only so that our records of where members lived at a given time stay accurate. This history is not displayed to other members or in administrative reports. Access to the underlying records is restricted to authorized system maintenance and privacy operations.
Erasing it. If you delete your account, we erase the ZIP code on your account and your earlier ZIP codes.
Who we share it with
Stripe, to take payments and run memberships.
Supabase, which hosts our database and accounts.
An email provider, to send you receipts, event information and, if you have an account, the Mingle emails described under Your choices.
Event hosts see the names on the tickets for their own event, so they can check people in. They do not see your payment details.
Meta Platforms, for advertising measurement on our website in the United States (see "Advertising and cookies").
Advertising and cookies
Our own website analytics sets no cookies.
For visitors in the United States, parts of our website use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), to measure and improve our advertising there. On our home page, event listings, event pages, the join page, the Mingle+ page and our policy pages, it records which page you view; which event you look at, by a reference number rather than its name; when you start a checkout; when a paid ticket purchase or a Mingle+ membership is confirmed, and its amount; when a free ticket is booked; and when an account is created. It uses cookies, and information your browser sends, such as your IP address and browser type.
We never send Meta your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or payment details, and we have turned off the Meta features that would collect them automatically. We do not use the Meta Pixel on sign-in, account, ticket, email-settings or administration pages, on events about health or other sensitive topics, or for visitors outside the United States.
Meta receives this information and uses it under its own terms and privacy policy, including to measure our ads and to show them to people likely to be interested.
Your privacy choices. You can turn off the Meta Pixel at any time with the "Your privacy choices" link on our home page, event pages and policy pages, and in You. Your choice is saved in that browser. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as the same choice. Sharing website activity with Meta for advertising may count as "targeted advertising", "sharing" or a "sale" under some US state privacy laws; this is how you opt out of it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account, and afterwards only where we are required to — records of payments, for example, are kept for the period the law requires.
Your choices
You can edit or remove most of your profile at any time.
You can make yourself private in the directory.
You can view, change, or ask us to erase your ZIP code.
You can delete your account from within the app.
You can turn off advertising measurement on our website with "Your privacy choices" (see "Advertising and cookies").
If you have a Mingle account, we email you about new Mingles in your home community, Mingle news and offers. These are on by default. You can choose which of them you receive, and which communities and kinds of event you hear about, in You → Notifications. The unsubscribe link in any of those emails lets you stop any or all of them without signing in. We do not send them to people who have only bought a ticket or registered as a guest. Receipts, tickets and claim links, reminders, changes and cancellations to the events you have registered for, password resets, and account and security messages are part of the service and are sent whatever you choose.
You can ask us what we hold about you by emailing hello@minglecities.com.
